about

"Fear" is my first single released as a new, up and coming artist!

The writing process for this song is what gave me the confidence to start chasing my dream of becoming a performing artist. Fear has always been one of my biggest enemies. It has always held me back in my short 21 years of life, causing me to constantly reflect on the past, harboring doubt and regret. I wrote this song at a time when I was tired of it running my life; I didn't want fear dictating my direction anymore. Over time I have realized when fears are faced head on, more often than not there is some sort of silver-lining within the thing that was so crippling before. This song is meant to be an anthem of empowerment for anyone struggling to fight, or itching to conquer their own fears, big or small.

lyrics

I'm still here, and I'll be here tomorrow.
The world goes round and round,
And I feel as if I'm watching it spin.
All of my life I've run away from opportunity,
And if I'm not careful at the end of my life I'll have never lived.

So I've come here to say,
I'm tired of living in yesterday.

How do we really know we're gonna get another day?
Fear you have given me a fright but you're not gonna rule my life.
Don't wanna be afraid, don't wanna shy away, don't wanna miss a single thing.
Cause I don't wanna sit and think "I wish I would've gone that way."

I'm stuck in the past, dwelling on regret and wishing I could go back.
Look what you've done to me fear, you've got me thinkin 'bout all the 'what ifs'.
Roads not traveled cause of your crippling nature.
But I'm not surprised, that's just who you are you have no regard.

You have knocked me down too many times to count.
But now it's my turn to fill your head with doubt.

How do we really know we're gonna get another day?
Fear you have given me a fright but you're not gonna rule my life.
Don't wanna be afraid, don't wanna shy away, don't wanna miss a single thing.
Cause I don't wanna sit and think "I wish I would've gone that way."

There is a friend to be found on the backside of fear.
There is always a friend to be found on the backside of fear.
