Fear 04:33
I'm still here, and I'll be here tomorrow. The world goes round and round, And I feel as if I'm watching it spin. All of my life I've run away from opportunity, And if I'm not careful at the end of my life I'll have never lived. So I've come here to say, I'm tired of living in yesterday. How do we really know we're gonna get another day? Fear you have given me a fright but you're not gonna rule my life. Don't wanna be afraid, don't wanna shy away, don't wanna miss a single thing. Cause I don't wanna sit and think "I wish I would've gone that way." I'm stuck in the past, dwelling on regret and wishing I could go back. Look what you've done to me fear, you've got me thinkin 'bout all the what ifs. Roads not traveled cause of your crippling nature. But I'm not surprised, that's just who you are you have no regard. So I've come here to say, I'm tired of living in yesterday. How do we really know we're gonna get another day? Fear you have given me a fright but you're not gonna rule my life. Don't wanna be afraid, don't wanna shy away, don't wanna miss a single thing. Cause I don't wanna sit and think "I wish I would've gone that way." You have knocked me down too many times to count. But now it's my turn to fill your head with doubt. How do we really know we're gonna get another day? Fear you have given me a fright but you're not gonna rule my life. Don't wanna be afraid, don't wanna shy away, don't wanna miss a single thing. Cause I don't wanna sit and think "I wish I would've gone that way." There is a friend to be found on the backside of fear. There is always a friend to be found on the backside of fear.

Everybody lives in societies box, And we're all trained within the perimeters of the field. Rules and regulations go by the book. Time is ticking and doesn't seem to stop. You sign the contract for the 4 year route. Run along the sidelines, make sure you don't step out. The crowd is watching as you race down the clock. Everybody acts like you're out of timeouts. What ever happened to halftime? Why does the easy way have to be right? Why is the standard life set and stone? Step off the field, be free and roam. I don't wanna play their game, I wanna go against the grain. I'm toeing the line cause I just wanna run out of bounds. Out of bounds, out of bounds, out of bounds. I'm toeing the line and I just wanna run out of bounds. I wanna do what's unconventional. I don't wanna waste my time mastering the box. I'm tired of being a slave to the trade. It's time to go out and play how I was made. What ever happened to halftime? Why does the easy way have to be right? Why is the standard life set and stone? Step off the field, be free and roam. I don't wanna play their game, I wanna go against the grain. I'm toeing the line, cause I just wanna run out of bounds. Out of bounds, out of bounds, out of bounds. I'm toeing the line, and I just wanna run out of bounds. Don't know where I'm going, But I know it's far away from here. Please sub me out I've gotta get my gear, Cause I've got to face my fears. I don't wanna play their game, I wanna go against the grain. I'm toeing the line, cause I just wanna run out of bounds. Out of bounds, out of bounds, out of bounds. I'm toeing the line, and I just wanna run out of bounds.

Simple Love 03:50
The world needs a simple love. The kind that holds the door, And smiles from afar and says hello how do you do. The world needs a simple love. A love that doesn’t care what her friends will think When she sits and talks to the girl with funny hair. A little love, can not hurt but go a long way. Differences come between us and lead our souls to go astray. This is our world, what we do with it is our reality. We exist and we breathe, yet miss our commonality. We’re not so different, all we need, can’t you see, is simply love. The world needs a simple love, One that looks you in the eye And says “I’m sorry, I was wrong” because he’s a standup guy. The world needs a simple love. The kind that forgives and knows, Anger doesn't do much good if it's never disposed. A little love can not hurt but go a long way. Differences come between us and lead our souls to go astray. This is our world, what we do with it is our reality. We exist and we breathe, yet miss our commonality. We’re not so different, all we need, can’t you see, is simply love. The need to be right only tears us apart. Taking the high road is a work of art. We all have a beating heart at the end of the day, So why beat down a heart that's already gray? The world needs a simple love. The kind that fights your war, And never sees it as a task or just another chore. The world needs a simple love. A love that isn’t found in the middle of a Bitter, hostile, stubborn battle ground. A little love, can not hurt but go a long way. Differences come between us and lead our souls to go astray. This is our world, what we do with it is our reality. We exist and we breathe, yet miss our commonality. We’re not so different, all we need, can’t you see, is simply love. The world just needs a simple love.

Change 03:39
The weather shifts with the seasons. The trees lose all their leaves. People grow up and move on. Friends turn into strangers. Nothing stays the same. Time takes it all away. But nothing seems to get better as long as the constants remain. Change is my enemy But change is what I need. Change is what brought me down, and it's what's gonna bring me back up. I plead for things to get better, Yet love to stick to the routine. Progress is impossible without Removal of the everyday. Nothing stays the same. Time takes it all away. But nothing seems to get better as long as the constants remain. Change is my enemy But change is what I need. Change is what brought me down, and it's what's gonna bring me back up. Without change who I once was Wouldn't have become who I am now. It's a necessary evil we all face. We can't escape it, so let's just embrace it. Change is my enemy But change is what I need. Change is what brought me down, and it's what's gonna bring me back up. Change is my enemy But change is what I need. Change is what brought me down, and it's what's gonna bring me back up.

When you're feeling like you're all alone, You start to realize that you're on your own. All you need is a bit of incite. Go buy a ticket for a one way flight. A little down time never hurt no one. It's hard to find yourself when you're broken. Take some time to recuperate, Who you are is waiting to burst out of the floodgates. In order to stand in the light, You've gotta see in black and white. When you look back at your fight, Your color comes from black and white. When you lose yourself, you'll come back someday. Though you feel like you want to run away. Have patience, you'll gain some clarity. The darkest times always seem to produce maturity. In order to stand in the light, You've gotta see in black and white. When you look back at your fight, Your color comes from black and white. When you can't see two steps ahead of you and your vision's blurred, This sounds crazy, but perspective from down low is all you need. In order to stand in the light, You've gotta see in black and white. When you look back at your fight, Your color comes from black and white. In order to stand in the light, You've gotta see in black and white. When you look back at your fight, Your color comes from black and white.

Renewed 03:38
Took a hiatus for awhile. Months of silence finally caught up with me. When you neglect yourself the warfare doesn't die. The blessing's in the curse I now can realize. Been shoved to the ground, Been kicked around, But there's more than meets the eye. Tribulation took a toll on me, but I now have a battle cry. I've been renewed, made brand new. I've been renewed, I've broken through. Gradually lost myself over time. Didn't think that could happen with just me myself and I. Life sure did prove me wrong, but a little creativity improvised. Melodies led me face to face with who I was trying to find. Been shoved to the ground, Been kicked around, But there's more than meets the eye. Tribulation took a toll on me, but I now have a battle cry. I've been renewed, made brand new. I've been renewed, I've broken through. I was robbed of my joy, and didn't see the use in dreaming. Felt nothing at all, not even the slightest feeling. Darker seasons have their reasons for overstaying their unwanted welcome. Now that I'm on the other side, I see growth comes from the healing. I've been renewed, made brand new. I've been renewed, I've broken through. I've been renewed, made brand new. I've been renewed, I've broken through.

about

Journey to Me is my first EP, and it's a collection of songs I wrote during a darker season of my life. We all have points in our lives where we lose ourselves; we don't know who we are, or which way is up or down. This EP is the result of that point in my life. I threw myself into music, and music evoked everything out of me that needed to be dealt with. Each song was either written during that low point, or as I was emerging from it. All six songs represent an area of growth I encountered within myself due to turmoil and lots of questions. Every song derives from a negative, but is sung as a positive. These songs represent a personal journey, a personal journey in finding my personal self; I lost myself, then found myself, but found myself as a new and improved version of me. My soul purpose in creating this EP was to share my experience and my heart, because I strongly believe the best way to learn is to learn from the experience of others, and the only way that's possible is if we as people are willing to be open and share where we've been. Fight on my friends, and live your journey!
